Episode 10
Three sellers hope to persuade the dealers to bid against each other for a child鈥檚 penny farthing, two unusual optician's mirrors and an antique ice shaver.
Nigel Havers welcomes three more sellers to the Bidding Room, where they try to sell items to professional dealers who are on the lookout for interesting pieces, with help from expert Simon Bower.
First is shop owner Lindsay from Sunderland. She has brought in a pair of mirrors, one concave and the other convex. She bought them for a song and is now hoping to sell on for a profit - to spend on an ordinary mirror. So will she be reflecting on a good deal done when she leaves?
Lucinda's item has the dealers bamboozled at first. She reveals that it is an antique ice-shaver. A block of ice would be put on it, then shavings taken. Once they know what it is, will any of them be prepared to bid on it?
The last seller hoping to strike a deal today is Dean from Sheffield. He has brought in a kids' penny farthing bicycle. The item is certainly fun, but can Dean turn the penny farthing into pounds?
Today's dealers are Ian, James, Lucy, Moses, Tash and Adi. Will they splash the cash or will our sellers go home empty handed?
