Episode 25
Five dealers bid against each other for items brought in by the public, including a vintage pedal car, a dentist chair and a full-size rickshaw.
Nigel Havers welcomes five more sellers to the Bidding Room, where they try to sell items to five professional dealers who are on the lookout for interesting pieces, with help from expert Simon Bower.
Melissa has brought in an old pedal car salvaged from a friend who was throwing it out. It might be rusty and in need of repair, but can she persuade car fans Ian and Adi to part with their cash? Scott is selling a copper and brass desktop fan that he hopes will blow the dealers away. Its USP is its industrial style, so will the dealers be fighting to take it home? Shaun is offering a Victorian dentist chair. It is in need of some restoration, but its intricate detail might persuade the dealers to take it off his hands. Mark is the owner of a full-size rickshaw that he thinks will wow the judges. He wants a four-figure price, but will our bidders jump on board and pay up? Finally, antiques collector Janet is selling a pair of arts and crafts candlesticks and an art nouveau pewter bowl.
Today’s dealers are Adi, Melissa, JB, Moses, Lucy, Samantha and Ian. Will any of them match – or even top – the valuation placed on each of the items?
