Smith & Burrows choose the Tracks Of My Years

Smith & Burrows - AKA Editors frontman Tom Smith and songwriter and musician Andy Burrows - choose an all new Tracks of My Years. There's also another edition of PopMaster.

Smith & Burrows - AKA Editors frontman Tom Smith and songwriter and musician Andy Burrows - choose an all new Tracks of My Years. The duo return with a brand new album 'Only Smith and Burrows Is Good Enough' nine years on from their debut Christmas album 'Funny Looking Angels'. Tom and Andy's musical adventure started with them popping into each other's houses and home studios, putting down an idea here and a melody there, which developed into a set of songs with a festive theme followed by a real album with a raucous tour of Christmas shows in the winter of 2012.

The interim has been anything but idle for the two with Tom on duty with The Editors and the band's star rising since their inception at the onset of the noughties. Meanwhile Andy has released several solo albums, seen collaborations on soundtracks including 'The Snowman and The Snowdog' and in 2019 composing the soundtrack for Ricky Gervais' critically acclaimed TV Series 'After Life'.

The first two tracks Andy and Tom have chosen come from Cream and Carole King. Ken has the daily love song, record and album of the week plus more from the PopMaster Music Quiz. If you'd like to get in touch with the show email Ken.Bruce@bbc.co.uk
