Episode 5
Dealers bid against each other to buy a set of industrial tin drawers, a Chinese inkwell and a Victorian watchman鈥檚 clock.
Nigel Havers welcomes three more sellers to the Bidding Room, where they try to sell items to professional dealers who are on the lookout for interesting pieces, with help from expert Simon Bower.
Yorkshireman Ged has brought in a classic piece of industrial furniture, saved from the scrap heap, which he hopes will be a draw with the dealers. Henrie wants to sell a silver and mahogany Chinese inkwell from the early 19th century that has been handed down through the generations but now needs a new home. And Molly from Manchester is selling a piece of history that embodies the ingenuity of British engineering. Her item is the Victorian answer to a clocking-in machine - a watchman鈥檚 tell-tale complete with the original leather case.
