Exactly 50 years ago this month, Manchester鈥檚 legendary venue The Twisted Wheel closed its doors. Many thought it could signal the end of an underground movement where obscure soul singles from the 60s were being danced-to, bought, sold, and cherished by devotees of that genre. In fact, it was only really getting started. Richard鈥檚 played a big part in the continued promotion and profile of Northern Soul since his days as a DJ and fan in some of the most famous venues.
