Episode 14
Antiques dealers bid to buy items brought in by the public. Today, two perfume bottles, an unusual box, two mystery vessels, some rare ceramics and a unique light fitting.
Nigel Havers welcomes five more sellers to the Bidding Room, where they try to sell items to five professional dealers who are on the lookout for interesting pieces, with help from expert Simon Bower.
The first seller today is Amy, with two very decorative perfume bottles she hopes will entice the dealers to spend. Next, Emma has brought in an old tin box that has a clever feature. Both decorative and surprising, she hopes it will have the dealers reaching for their cash. Third to face the dealers is Eugene from Bolton, with two show-stopping pieces of African art. Solid bronze and intricate, he is convinced they will wow the dealers.
Philip has picked up three interesting pieces of pottery at auction. Both rare and beautiful, can he reach his dream deal? Finally, Colin is selling a very curious light fitting that he found in his loft.
Today's dealers are Adi, Ian, James, Jane and Tash. Will any of them match – or even top – the valuation placed on each of the items?
