Dame Mary Beard, The Bay and Inauguration Performances
Mary Beard on the new series of Inside Culture and Daragh Carville the writer of ITV drama, The Bay, ahead of the second series.
On Wednesday, Grant will be chatting to Mary Beard about her new series of INSIDE CULTURE which starts this week. Broadcast just after inauguration day, the first episode will have an interview with Armando Iannucci and asks how comedians and satirists adapt to a new regime.
We speak to Daragh Carville the writer of ITV drama, The Bay, ahead of the second series which starts tonight.
And as it’s inauguration day with performances this year from Lady Gaga and Jennifer Lopez, we take a look back at past performances at inaugurations and discuss the practicalities of singing the national anthem outdoors in very cold temperatures plus the cultural importance of these events for the Presidents and what it can mean for the performers’ careers.
