Episode 9
The dealers bid against each other for items brought in by the public, including a spy kit, a silver fruit bowl, a coffee table, a tribal paddle and an architect's drawing board.
Nigel Havers welcomes five more sellers to the Bidding Room, where they try to sell items to five professional dealers who are on the lookout for interesting pieces, with help from expert Simon Bower.
First into the Bidding Room today is Sharon, with an undercover item that she hopes will see the dealers listen up. The dealers struggle to work out what it is, but when they decode its use, will any of them be prepared to break cover and do a deal? Next to face the dealers is Rhys, with a solid silver fruit bowl that he hopes will catch the eye of the buyers. Veronica and her daughter Hannah bring in an Ercol drop-leaf table, but they are not prepared to drop their dream price. So can they haggle their way to a deal? Masheed wants to sell a piece of tribal art. Can she persuade the dealers to purchase her hand-carved paddle? And Tim is selling an architect's easel that he believes will draw in a lot of interest from the dealers.
