Episode 7
Nigel Havers hosts as five dealers bid against each other for items brought in by the public, including two Victorian love hearts, a carved door and a French salon sign.
Nigel Havers welcomes five more sellers to the Bidding Room, where they try to sell items to five professional dealers who are on the lookout for interesting pieces, with help from expert Simon Bower.
Opening proceedings today is Gay, with an old set of weighing scales that she is convinced will tip the bidding in her favour. But when the dealers come to weigh up their options, will it be good news or bad for Gay? Next to face the dealers is Alan, with a mid-century room divider that he is sure will get the dealers' attention. With a wedding to pay for, can he sell it for the high price he is after? Blair and Matthew are selling a pair of Victorian love hearts they bought at auction. Can they convince the dealers to fall in love with them too? Tina wants to sell a very ornate, hand-carved door. It’s useful and decorative, but will it open up a bidding war? Last but not least is Tim, with a French salon sign that he hopes will light up the dealers' faces. It’s French, so he is determined to target Francophile Adi. But will he – or any of the other dealers – pay the money Tim is after?
