TV presenter Carol Vorderman returs to her roots on a road trip through her home turf of north Wales. On the journey, Carol reflects on how growing up there shaped her life as she meets local people whose stories champion the region’s resilience, determination, and grit.

Carol starts her trip by heading back to her hometown of Prestatyn. She shares personal memories of her upbringing in the 1960s and finds out how things have changed for women since her childhood. She meets award-winning blacksmith artist Rhian Wyn Jones, tries her hand at milking with the next generation of women farmers and finishes this leg of her journey with a unique adrenaline rush – dog sledding with top competitor Jolene Swiffen.
