Children鈥檚 Ward returns to the biggest hospital in North Wales to follow the emotional stories of the young patients and devoted staff who treat them.

Each year, 5,000 of those seen by the hospital are children. Eight-year-old Llew has been in and out of hospital since birth, and he and his family are a well-known part of the Children鈥檚 Ward family. For Llew, a common chest infection can become very serious very quickly, and so his mum brings him in when he has a bad cough and is struggling to breathe.

Also rushed in is a girl with asthma who鈥檚 been in ten times in six months fighting to breathe. The specialist comes to a unexpected conclusion about what the cause may be. And there鈥檚 a shock diagnosis for a young boy who has a hereditary disorder but becomes rapidly ill while on the ward.
