We report on new Government rules to tackle car parking firms handing out unfair fines. A new, fair code of practice for operators will be written into law and is expected to come into effect early next year. It'll cap fines at 拢20 for those who make genuine mistakes when they park such as getting letters wrong on the number plate. It will also force firms to display pricing, and terms and conditions clearly. And it will set up a new arbitration service, independent of the industry. We hear from a listener who was given a 拢70 ticket for parking at a supermarket for 10 hours when he'd spent less than an hour there. We also speak to Steve Clarke of the British Parking Association and Nick Lyes of the RAC who've both been consulting with the Government on the new proposals.

Executive of Kuoni UK, about how his company managed to do this.
