A 999 call for a patient who has been found hanging takes priority on the night shift.
It's Saturday night, and call handler Erin answers a 999 call from a distressed relative who has found their loved one hanging. This is the first time Erin has answered a call such as this, and it has an instant impact. Meanwhile, 358 ambulance crews are working to care for the capital. Crewmates Adam and Dan are the first to be dispatched to a patient who has fallen down a flight of stairs in a casino, and Rachel and Stuart are sent to care for a patient who is struggling with side effects of her cancer treatment. Then, a call from a patient threatening to jump into the river takes priority, and the call handler must try to keep the patient talking until help can arrive.
