Carnival Special

We can't take to the streets to celebrate Carnival this year. so we a bringing it direct to you!

Cultural historian Fiona Compton explores the history of Carnival and it's deep rooted connections that lead all the way back to slavery.

Flag Mas Band are one of the most-loved mas or masqerade groups at Notting Hill, they bring music, dancers and exquisite costumes every year. Eon Pyle tells us about the year-long passion that goes into being the best 'mas' band on the day.

Carnival heavy-hitters Channel One Sound System put together 30 mins of reggae, steppas and dub for us to skank towards the bank holiday with.
