Remembering the unique songwriting of Tim Smith and his band Cardiacs. Stuart features the band's bizarre and dynamic double album Sing To God following the sad news of Tim鈥檚 death. Sing To God was released in 1996 at the height of Brit-pop and was the antithesis of the zeitgeist. The album combines strange eerie lyrics, a punk attitude, virtuosic performances, hilariously strange chord progressions, jarring time signatures and lysergic eccentricity. Tim passed away after a long illness on 21 July 2020.

Also in the show, ambient electronics designed for house plants and their carers, modernist sound poetry exploring the repetitiveness of the digital age and solar powered guitar strings from sunny Yorkshire.
