London based artist Elkka is guest resident and the mix comes from The Shamen legend Mr.C.
Elkka is co-founder of the label and collective femme culture, DJ Mag鈥檚 Breakthrough Label of 2018. She began her musical journey as a singer, songwriter and has evolved into a multi-faceted producer, DJ and label boss. In Autumn 2019 she released her Every Body Is Welcome 5 track EP, her most substantial output to date. Her latest release I. Miss. Raving./Bleep+ is out via Local Action.
Mr.C has been a key player in electronic dance music for over 30 years. He is best known as frontman for the internationally successful band The Shamen, but he has a long pedigree from his MC-ing career since the age of 16. In 1995 Mr.C and Layo Paskin of Layo & Bushwacka! opened the legendary nightclub The End in London, which became one of the most revered clubs in history, right up to its closure in 2009. He continues to produce electronic music, and has always been involved in many record labels. He is co-owner of the Superfreq label, which formed in 2004, and this guest mix showcases music from across the labels lifetime.
