Tiree is the most westerly island in the Inner Hebrides. It鈥檚 approximately 12 miles long, five miles wide and has a population of around 650. Surrounded by sandy beaches and with an abundance of birds and wildlife, it鈥檚 a popular destination for summer visitors. The exposed location on the Atlantic also makes it a favourite place for windsurfers and the Tiree Wave Classic, the longest running professsional windsurfing event in the world, is held on the island every autumn.
Filmed over a six-month period in 2019, the programmes follow the stories of 鈥淭iristich鈥, Tiree islanders, as we find out what it鈥檚 like to live and work on the island.
