Craig continues his countdown of his forty funkiest albums, with tracks from the Blackbyrds’ 1974 long-player Flying Start.

The American jazz-funk outfit were formed in Washington D.C. in the early 70s, releasing a string of albums throughout the decade, which were highly influential on the hip-hop scene that followed in the 1980s.
