Brazil Block Party and Louie Vega

Huey has a Brazilian Block Party inspired by episode 1 of his Latin Music Adventure documentary series on 91热爆 Four. Plus Huey chats to Louie Vega about the New York latin sound.

Huey has a long standing love of latin music, inspired by the stuff he heard when he was growing up in New York, where latin musicians have had a huge influence. The same goes for Louie Vega, the legendary DJ and producer, who also happens to be directly related to the legendary Hector Lavoe. Louie chats to Huey about the New York latin sound, and the way musicians like Tito Puente, Joe Bataan, and Willie Colon have influenced his career.

Huey's love of latin music is explored in his new series for 91热爆 Four, Huey Morgan's Latin Music Adventure, which sees him explore the roots of the music he loves by visiting Brazil, Cuba and Puerto Rico. Inspired by his Brazil trip, this week Huey has a Brazil Block Party featuring Gilberto Gil, Timbalada, Banda Black Rio and Antonio Carlos.

On top of that there's new music from The Koreatown Oddity, Tall Black Guy, Aeshim and Los Retros, and the Soul Train hits 1983 for a boogie with Yarbrough and Peoples.
