Actor and star of The Inbetweeners Simon Bird talks to Mark and Stuart about directing his first feature film

Mark Radcliffe and Stuart Maconie present a feast of great music and chat for weekend breakfast.

Today they talk to actor, writer, comedian and star of 'The Inbetweeners' Simon Bird. As an actor he has starred in five series of award-winning sitcom 'Friday Night Dinner' and is well known to many as Will McKenzie from Channel 4's successful comedy 'The Inbetweeners'. As a writer he created 'The King Is Dead' for the 91热爆 and co-created the sitcom 'Chickens.' He has also worked as a stand-up comedian and a producer, setting up a TV and film production company. Now he is making his debut as a feature film director. His film 'Days Of The Bagnold Summer' is a coming-of-age story about a heavy-metal-loving teenager and stars Monica Dolan, Earl Cave, Rob Brydon, Tamsin Greig, Alice Lowe and Tim Key. It also features an original soundtrack by Belle & Sebastian. Simon joins Mark and Stuart to tell them about the film as well as pick a few of his favourite tunes.
