With an estimated 8 million plus chickens being reared in the county, many in Intensive Poultry Units, Powys has been described as the poultry capital of Wales. 
Now some local people are forming a group to oppose any further large scale developments.  But farmers say they are diversifying in order to meet consumer demand and to make family farms sustainable. 
As World Bee Day approaches beekeepers are warned to check their hives for a new threat originally from China – Asian Hornets. 
And cuckoos and bluebells lie ahead on the latest in the series of lockdown walks.
