The church of St George, Brailes, in Warwickshire
Bells on Sunday comes from the church of St George, Brailes, in Warwickshire.
Currently there is no ringing taking place across UK towers, a situation not encountered since the Second World War. This week鈥檚 recording comes from the church of St George, Brailes, in Warwickshire. The tower holds the third heaviest peal of six bells. The tenor cast in 1877 by Blews of Birmingham weighs twenty nine hundredweight and is tuned to the key of C. The second is the oldest bell in the tower, cast by William Chamberlain of London in 1440. We hear them ringing call changes.
