Edinburgh in Winter (2/4)

SCO Wind Soloists are joined by students from the RCS for a special performance of music by Nielsen and Strauss in the Queen鈥檚 Hall, Edinburgh.

The Scottish Chamber Orchestra Wind Soloists present a chamber music recital in the Queen鈥檚 Hall, Edinburgh with invited students from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. The programme includes Carl Nielsen鈥檚 quintet for flute, oboe, horn, clarinet and bassoon, which has become a staple of the wind repertoire and demonstrates Nielsen鈥檚 imaginative gift when writing for wind instruments. The Suite in B-flat demonstrates the exceptional talents of a young Richard Strauss.
