The 91热爆 Scottish Symphony Orchestra, under conductor Anthony Hermus performs Haydn's Symphony No. 22 in E flat major, followed by Donizetti's celebrated Mad Scene from his opera 'Lucia di Lammermoor' with soprano Sara Hershkowitz as the doomed heroine. Then comes an orchestral adventure as the entire saga of Wagner's The Ring of the Nibelung is performed as arranged by Henk de Vlieger as a single, instrumental piece. The afternoon continues with a flavour of the night as we hear Dvorak's Serenade in D minor for wind instruments, conducted by Sergej Bolkhovets. Then John Wilson takes to the rostrum to conduct the orchestra in Benjamin Britten's Serenade for tenor, horn and strings - the soloists are tenor Stuart Jackson and on the horn, Alberto Men茅ndez Escribano. The afternoon ends back with Dvorak and his Symphonic variations, Op. 78.
