Schumann, Liszt and Dvorak from Welsh Festivals in 2019

Nicola Heywood Thomas presents music by Schumann, Liszt and Dvorak from the 2019 music festivals of Gower, Machynlleth and Presteigne.

Nicola Heywood Thomas presents a selection of music recorded at three festivals in Wales in 2019, including the Gower, Machynlleth and Presteigne festivals. The concert begins in a former chapel, the Tabernacle, which is now home of the Machynlleth Festival, and where Camille Thomas and Julius Drake performed the dreamlike romantic Fantasiest眉cke by Schumann. This is followed by two of Liszt鈥檚 often virtuosic Transcendental Studies, with the pianist Llyr Williams performing at the Gower Festival.
