Who will start the 2020 World Triathlon Series season on the podium? Follow all the action as Abu Dhabi’s iconic Yas Island plays host to the first major meeting of this Olympic year.

World-class fields assemble in the men’s and women’s sprint races, mixed relay and the Paratriathlon World Cup – and with Olympic qualification points also on offer over the first three meetings of 2020, expect extra intensity in each event. The Brownlee brothers are both anticipated to be part of a strong British contingent, all hoping to start the campaign strongly.

Last year’s highlights saw Spain’s Mario Mola secure his sole men’s sprint win of the season as he edged out Great Britain’s Alex Yee. American Katie Zaferes claimed the women’s sprint race ahead of both compatriot Taylor Spivey and Great Britain’s Jess Learmonth, while Australia won the mixed relay.
