Gary Raymond and his guests cast a critical eye on what's going in in the Welsh arts scene. This month Gary is joined by poet and academic Dr Abby Parry and novelist and dramatist David Llewellyn.

The panel reflect on a major new touring exhibition - Refuge and Renewal - which explores the impact of refugee and emigre artists on British art. Ahead of its arrival in MOMA Machynlleth, Gary and guests discuss how the exhibition combines visual appeal with strong biographical narratives and has a particularly compelling Welsh dimension.

Staying with the theme of the emigre experience, the panel review West, a new play commissioned by the North American Festival of Wales which tells the story of a nineteenth century Welsh couple seeking a new life across the Atlantic. Written in verse, the play features impressive performances from Gareth John Bale and Gwenllian Higginson.

The panel also give their verdict on Eternal Beauty. Written and directed by Craig Roberts, the Wales-based film presents a surreal, tragi-comic take on mental health with a strong cast including Sally Hawkins, David Thewlis, Billie Piper, Boyd Clack and Penelope Wilton.

And Gary and guests delve into Peter Finch's first poetry collection for 10 years - Machineries of Joy - discussing the elegiac approach of the Welsh godfather of performance poetry.
