Stuart chats to the American experimental electronic artist Katie Gately about her dark and intense new album, Loom which was made in the months following her mother鈥檚 death. Gately utilizes a plethora of computer programs to reshape her voice into dense, unsettling sound constructions paired with field recordings recorded in the urban landscape and her own domestic space. Our featured record is ambient electronica Scottish duo and brothers, Boards of Canada鈥檚 2002 Goegaddi. Also in the freaky mix is free jazz, Somalian funk bangers and psych folk.
