Ahead of Burns Night later today Mark and Stuart celebrate some of the best music to come out of Scotland, and chat to guest Stuart Braithwaite of Glasgow punk-rock band Mogwai

Mark Radcliffe and Stuart Maconie present a feast of great music and chat for weekend breakfast

Ahead of Burns Night later today, this morning鈥檚 Radcliffe and Maconie Show celebrates some of the best music to come out of Scotland.

Today鈥檚 guest is Stuart Braithwaite of Glasgow post-rock band Mogwai. He joins Mark and Stuart to talk about the Ivor Cutler tribute show and album he鈥檚 involved in, celebrating the Scottish humorist, poet, philosopher and surrealist鈥檚 career and legacy. Part of this year鈥檚 Celtic Connections Festival, the tribute show brings together some of Scotland鈥檚 top indie, folk, rock and pop artists including Belle and Sebastian鈥檚 Stuart Murdoch, Kris Drever, Karine Polwart and Emma Pollock to play an array of Cutler鈥檚 compositions. Stuart is also joined by saxophonist and composer Raymond MacDonald who has been instrumental in putting the tribute show and album together.
