For most hospitals in the UK, the winter months are often the busiest. On Shetland, summer is when the pressure’s on. The A&E staff have to juggle the available space when a patient arrives with mystery abdominal pains. She’s in a lot of discomfort, but it isn’t immediately obvious what the problem is.
