Episode 6
Ruairidh Alastair le ceist mu phlastaig: cron do-sheachanta? Ruairidh Alastair asks if plastics are a necessary evil?
Tha Ruairidh Alastair air ais le tuilleadh cheistean mu chùisean a tha a’ toirt buaidh air beatha dhaoine òga, agus tha e a’ sireadh fhreagairtean le bhith a’ còmhradh ri eòlaichean, ag èisteachd ri buill ar pannail agus a’ rannsachadh tron fhòn-là imhe aige is a thoinisg fhèin. Tha sinn a’ cluinntinn an còmhnaidh gum feum sinn nas lugha plastaig a chleachdadh mus dèan e barrachd millidh air an à rainneachd.
Sa phrògram seo tha e a’ faighneachd an e lochd do-sheachanta a th’ann. Chì e dè tha comhairle a’ dèanamh le plastaig a tha iad a’cruinneachadh airson a chur gu feum ùr. Faighnichidh e do chompanaidh a tha a’ rannsachadh plastaig, dè tha ri thighinn dhaibhsan – agus dhuinne. Is le mòran dhaoine fo iomagain mu phlastaig nach tèid a chleachdadh ach aon turus, thèid e gu bùth a tha a’ tabhainn slighe eile. Tha beachdan là idir aig a phannal òg – ach a bheil an gnìomhan a-rèir am briathran?
Ruairidh Alastair is back with more questions about issues that affect the lives of young people, and he is seeking answers by talking with experts, listening to our panellists and researching using his mobile phone and his wits. We are constantly told we need to reduce our use of plastic in order to avoid more ecological damage.
In this episode, Ruairidh Alastair asks if plastic is a necessary evil. He visits a beach to speak to an environmental campaigner and goes to a council recycling facility to see what they do with their plastic. After touring a plastics research company, he asks one of their bosses what the future holds for them and us. And with plenty of people worried about single use plastic, Ruairidh visits a shop offering an alternative way. As always, our panel of young people have plenty to say on the subject, but do their actions match their words?
