Contemporary ambient music that represents the mood of Japan’s folklore ghost stories put together by the musician Meitei.

Japanese musician Meitei is fascinated by the mood created in his countries folklore ghost stories. These unsettling, supernatural horror stories were collected in a book called Kawidan which is the title of Meitei’s first album. Here he compiles a playlist of contemporary ambient music that represents the mood of these horror stories. Featuring tracks by Japanese artist Hiroshi Ebina, Canadian producer Khotin and guitarist Tobias Wilden from Berlin.
