Qasa is asking this after Sainsbury’s stopped selling fireworks to the public and last year, a petition to ban the public sale of fireworks to protect the environment, animals, children and people with a phobia attracted more than 300,000 signatures. Also, there are reports in the Indian media that air quality in Delhi has got worse after Diwali celebrations in the city, which is traditionally marked with fireworks.
