Episode 2
After a second death at the Abbey, William is determined to find a way into the library which has been deemed out of bounds. Adso is distracted by the presence of the mysterious Occitan girl.
The abbot receives a message from the pope informing him that the delegation led by Bernard Gui is on its way. Increasingly worried, he urges that William find the murderer before their arrival.
William works with Severinus, the abbey鈥檚 herbalist and scientist, to analyse the monk鈥檚 body, concluding he was poisoned before he was thrown into the vat. They soon realise that a highly lethal poison from the herbalist鈥檚 collection has been taken.
When their trail leads them to the infamous library, William and Adso devise a plan to enter the labyrinth, but quickly realise that not everything is as it seems once they are inside.
