Double European indoor champion Laura Muir attempts to climb a global podium for the first time in the 1500m final at the World Athletics Championships in Doha.

Muir has claimed European Championship gold medals both indoors and outdoors in the last 12 months but is desperate to make her mark on the world stage. She is also keen to arrive in Doha fully fit, having struggled with injury for part of the outdoor season in 2019. The Scot finished an agonising fourth at the World Championships in London two years ago – can she go one better in Doha?
