Gabby Logan presents live coverage as home high jump favourite Mutaz Essa Barshim attempts to bring the house down with a Qatari victory. As Qatar鈥檚 only reigning world champion there is huge pressure on Barshim in the high jump final in the Middle East - especially considering his injury issues in 2019.

Elsewhere, South Africa's Wayde van Niekerk hopes to put a similarly troubled build-up behind him to defend his 400m world title.

Meanwhile in the women's 400m hurdles, a new global star could be emerging in the shape Sydney McLaughlin. McLaughlin is nicknamed Syd the Kid but Doha could well be the global breakthrough for the 20-year-old American star.
