PM faces resignation calls after Parliament suspension ruled 'unlawful'

Should Boris Johnson resign? Qasa is asking this after the Supreme Court ruled that the decision to suspend parliament taken by the prime minister was unlawful.

Should Boris Johnson resign? Qasa is asking this after the Supreme Court ruled that the decision to suspend parliament taken by the prime minister was unlawful. Earlier this month, the PM asked the Queen to prorogue Parliament for more than five weeks and now MPs, including opposition leader Jeremy Corbyn, are calling on him to resign. Then we’ll hear from historian Jefny Ashcroft and director/actor Eshimit Kaur about their involvement in a new play called ‘Himmat’. It’s about the Sikh bus driver who 50 years ago won a legal battle to wear his turban to work. After that we’ll be talking to music composer Kuljit Bhamra who is paying tribute to the Hindu goddess Durga by dedicating a fusion album of opera and Sanskrit to tell her story. Plus Qasa will be joined by author and journalist Emma Barnett to discuss her new book ‘It’s About Bloody Time. Period’.
