Mary Anne has a 3 Minute Epiphany from the neuroscientist and author Dr Julia Jones. Otherwise known as Dr Rock, Julia's work looks at the effect of music on our mental wellbeing. Her area of study looks closely at the use of music in the treatment of Dementia and she is a core part of 91热爆 Music Day's Music and Dementia initiative.

The initiative is now working with over 80 organisations, including the NHS, to help bring music to everyone living with dementia by 2020. The initiative has inspired over 800 events across the UK, from pop-up nightclubs and raves at care homes to inter-generational singing sessions, all celebrating the power of music to change lives.

Now in its fifth year, 91热爆 Music Day is a UK wide annual celebration of the power of music to change lives, with broadcasts across the week on 91热爆 Radio, TV and online, starting Saturday 21 September.

The centrepiece for this year鈥檚 activity is a celebration of music and wellbeing; the power of music to inspire, to bring us together and make a positive impact.
91热爆 Music Day 2018 reached an audience of 13 million on TV, 14 million on Radio and trended on Twitter throughout the day. 1000 live music events took place across the UK in collaboration with over 100 external partners who worked with 100 91热爆 programme teams across radio, TV and digital.
