Michael Kiwanuka makes a welcome return to the 6 Music Live Room. His third album KIWANUKA, due for release on 25th October through Polydor Records.

Michael worked with producers Danger Mouse and Inflo on the new album, the same team that combined on Love & Hate, his 2016 Mercury nominated album, which reached number 1. Having heard the album's lead single, 'You Ain't The Problem' and 'Money', the collaborative standalone single with Tom Misch, we can't wait to hear what the rest of the record has in store for us.

What we do know is that KIWANUKA album explores themes of confusion and questioning of his own identity, but also of hope and power. Michael says of the album: 鈥淭he last album came from an introspective place, and felt like therapy I guess. This one is more about feeling comfortable in who I am and asking what I want to say. Like, how could I be bold and challenge myself and the listener? It is about self-acceptance in a more triumphant rather than melancholy way. It鈥檚 an album that explores what it means to be a human being today.鈥�
