Yardley
Tracey Parkes鈥檚 husband passed away before he could build his dream garden. Now the Garden Rescue team have come to Yardley in Birmingham to make his final wish come true.
In Yardley in Birmingham, Tracey Parkes doesn鈥檛 have a plan in mind for her garden but as it is a tip, full of old building material, it is in desperate need of the hands-on help of the Garden Rescue team.
In fact, Tracey鈥檚 husband Simon, a self-employed builder who was responsible for the pile of old building material, was the original applicant for the show. Tragically, though, he passed away from cancer before he could see his garden transformed, and now Tracey and their daughter would love to finally create the garden Simon always wanted them to have. Getting this garden finished was his last wish, and that is a call to arms that Charlie Dimmock and the Rich brothers, Harry and David, can鈥檛 ignore.
It was Simon鈥檚 dream to have a nice area to relax and to entertain. They had planned to have a pergola at the top of the garden with a seating area, but at the moment the pergola is just a pole in ground and the rest of the garden an undefined mess. However, with a 拢3,500 budget and access to all materials on site that Simon, the ever-resourceful builder, had squirrelled away, the team have a fighting chance to make Tracey鈥檚 husband鈥檚 last wish come true. Will they succeed in creating a garden that truly honours his memory, fulfils his wishes and gives Tracey somewhere to find solace?
