Plans for ten-year-old Ava's bladder surgery hang in the balance as the hospital's High Dependency Unit hits full capacity. Clinical nurse manager Julie races against the clock to find a bed for Ava and avoid her surgery being cancelled.
Baby Harrison arrives at hospital with a dangerously high temperature and suspected sepsis after suffering serious burns from a spilled cup of coffee, while physiotherapist Nina helps a 13-year-old gymnast recover from a broken arm. And Davie from Shetland celebrates the end of his chemotherapy treatment with the staff who have cared for him.
