It's a Motown special and Johnnie speaks to former Motown plugger John Reid who went on to manage Elton John for 27 years.

After working as a promoter for EMI in the late 60s, at the age of 19, John became the Tamla Motown label manager for the UK, leading them to a classic No.1 single in 1970 with Tears Of A Clown by Smokey Robinson - a track he'd discovered on an earlier album. It was during this time he first met Elton John who would go on to become his lover. Buoyed by his success with Motown, in 1971 Reid set up his own company with a few hundred pounds in savings and a 拢5,000 loan. Elton John would be Reid's first client. Their personal relationship stopped after five years, but he remained John's manager until 1998 - a relationship that was recently fictionalised in the Elton John biopic Rocketman.

Also on the show, Johnnie takes a Motown-inspired trawl through the 91热爆 Archive and adds a classic Motown record to his Jukebox.
