Experimental rock group Black Midi share an eclectic fast-paced mix with snatches of pure pop, avant-garde legends and strange sounds.

Experimental rock group Black Midi are the weirdest zeitgeisty buzz band to emerge on the UK scene in years. Their sound is the result of four individual voices coming together, which they did at the prestigious BRIT school for performing arts. Their angular improvisation, snarling lyrics and post-punk attitude have set alight the live circuit and sent the music press all aquiver trying to define their sound. Cameron Picton (aka DJ Dairy) from the band shares an eclectic fast-paced mix of their influences and listening habits with snatches of pure pop, avant-garde legends and strange sounds. Featuring German electronic duo Modeselektor and pop stars Robyn and Alexander Burke nestling alongside experimental rap and free improvisation.
