Charlie Hart from Slim Chance shares his 70s memories of being Ronnie Lane's right hand man, and hanging out with the likes of Eric Clapton, Pete Townsend and the Small Faces.

At the start of the 70s, multi-instrumentalist Charlie was playing with Ian Dury in his band Kilburn and the Highroads who were at the front of the early 70s Pub-rock boom. Wreckless Eric was in the same stable, and Charlie played keyboards on his first LP. Charlie then joined Ruan O'Lochlainn, Johnny Duan in St. James' Gate, a band which soon metamorphosed into Ronnie Lane's Slim Chance. Charlie played mostly fiddle and accordion and lived at Ronnie's farm, the Fishpool, near Hyssington on the border of Shropshire and Montgomeryshire in Wales. Charlie played on three of Ronnie's solo albums in the 70s: Ronnie Lane's Slim Chance (1975), One for the Road (1976) and See Me (1979), and toured Europe with Clapton's band.

Also on the show, Johnnie hears the stories from This Week In Music with the help of the 91热爆 Archive and inducts another classic record into Johnnie's Jukebox.
