Sinn Fein says it's been told by Department of Health officials that a medical school for Derry doesn't necessarily need ministerial approval.
Sinn Fein says senior government officials have confirmed that plans for a medical school in Derry do not necessarily require ministerial approval. If true, it's a drastic change in message from the Department of Health; in a statement as recently as 20 days ago, the department told this programme, and I quote, 'it needs a Ministerial decision. And, as we all know, we don't have a Minister and haven't had one for quite a while.'
