07/06/19 Thy Kingdom Come
A service of Morning Prayer for Pentecost led by the Rev Dr Isabelle Hamley.
Over the past three years more and more worshipping communities have been committing in the ten days between Ascension and Pentecost to pray ‘Come, Holy Spirit’. What started in 2016 as an invitation from the Archbishops of Canterbury and York to the Church of England has grown into an international and ecumenical call to prayer, involving over 65 denominations, in 114 countries around the world. The ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ global prayer movement has now become one of the most ambitious evangelism projects in a generation.
This morning’s Daily Service is a service of Morning Prayer for ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ from the Chapel of Lambeth Palace, and is led by Rev Dr Isabelle Hamley, Chaplain to the Archbishop of Canterbury. It is introduced by Chris Russell, the Archbishop’s Director for Evangelism and Witness. Music is provided by St Martin’s Voices.
