Victoria Derbyshire explores the state of the Family Court in the family justice system, as well as the supervision of offenders on probation.
The former head of the Family Court exclusively tells this programme that things are 'far from as they should be' in the family justice system and that independent research is 'desperately needed' into the 'profoundly troubling' weight of anecdotal evidence that our programme discovered.
And the supervision of all offenders on probation in England and Wales will be looked after by the government again, after a series of failings since private companies took over parts of the service five years ago.
