Alan McGee, Mari Wilson, Damian Barr and Eddi Reader
Featuring Creation Records co-founder Alan McGee and ‘Eddi Reader’ live in session, plus the Neasden 'Queen of Soul' Mari Wilson, aka 'Miss Beehive', and author Damian Barr.
Grant Stott has live music and conversation with the brilliant Scottish singer-songwriter, Eddi Reader’ – she will also discuss her new EP and upcoming tour…
Ahead of ‘An Evening with Alan McGee’ at Saint Luke’s in Glasgow, the Creation Records co-founder (and man responsible for spotting Oasis in Glasgow’s King Tut’s in 1993, signing them to his record label and propelling them to superstardom!) talks about his legendary career in the industry.
The author, journalist, writer and host of his own Literary Salon, Damian Barr, discusses, ‘You Will Be Safe Here’: one of the most anticipated debut novels of 2019.
Grant will also preview the new Blu Ray release of Billy Wilder’s ONE, TWO, THREE, a witty and energetic comedic showpiece starring James Cagney. From 1961, it’s one of director Wilder's most frenetic comedies; a madcap Cold War and corporate politics satire. (it hasn't always been as famous as Wilder's other comedies, but it's among his very best..)
All that and ‘The Neasden Queen of Soul’ Mari Wilson (aka 'Miss Beehive'), discusses her career and upcoming tour. The velvet-voiced ‘Queen of the Beehives’ enjoyed huge success in the in ’80s of course, with hits like Just What I Always Wanted and Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps, as well as her brilliant take on the timeless classic, Cry Me A River.
Don’t Miss It!
