A Derry youth club says it had no choice but to cancel an event involving the police after a party linked to dissident republicans threatened to protest. The Long Tower Youth and Community Centre had planned to hold a conference for young people in the Guildhall yesterday but the political party, Saoradh, said it would stage a protest at the presence of PSNI officers.
