Carers UK says there is a "real social and economic imperative" for workplaces to be made "carer friendly". According to the charity, the pressures of looking after an elderly, ill or disabled relative have made almost half a million people quit their jobs in the UK in the past two years.

Do we put women who have multiple births at an economic and emotional disadvantage? Jennifer Edmonstone from Glasgow gave birth to twins in 2016 and the experience led her to write a petition to the government to consider the extra challenges having multiple births can put upon a family.
